Abstract:Objective To observe the expression of miR-23a in dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) of the peripheral blood and assess its clinical significance. Methods Twenty-six patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and 30 healthy controls were enrolled. The clinical data of the two groups, cardiac ultrasound, plasma level of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and other biochemical indicators were collected respectively.Real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to detect and compare two groups′s miR-23a expression level differences,ROC curve analysis was used to assess miR-23a recognition in patients with DCM.Results BNP (605.00±231.71,26.29±17.88,t=218.61,P<0.05) and left ventricular end-diastdic diameter (LVEDD) (64.73±5.74,45.58±2.17,t=6.09,P<0.05) in DCM group were higher than those in control group, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) lower than that in control group (35.33±4.31, 58.72±3.35,t=-13.54,P<0.05).miR23a expression in the DCM group was higher than that in control group (33.56±2.56,1.18±0.86,t=2.85,P<0.01),the difference was statistically significant.ROC curve analysis demonstrated that miR-23a had certain clinical recognition ability in patients with DCM [AUC=0.781,95% CI(0.651,0.911),P<0.01].Conclusion The expression of miR-23a elevated in the peripheral blood of patients with DCM,miR-23a may have certain clinical diagnostic value in patients with DCM.
