Abstract:It has been nearly 40 years for the success of isolation and culture of Helicobacter pylori(Hp) . During the nearly 40 years, the investigation of Hp is persistent and intensive. However, the presentation of the relationship between Hp and human gastric diseases deserves further discussion. The studies have found that Hp might be a common colonization strain of human body and the infection of Hp is only one of the causes of human chronic gastritis. The clinical presentations of Hp related chronic gastritis is not known with certainty up to now. The clinical presentations of chronic gastritis described by studies at present, such as abdominal distention and abdominal pain, are echoes of what others say. It is unclear what's the probability of canceration of Hp related chronic atrophic gastritis and intestinal metaplasia. The authors of this paper hope to strengthen the investigation of the relationship between Hp and human diseases. The propaganda of the causal relationship of these two factors should be treated carefully, both in the field of science and popularization of science. This article summarizes the relationship of Hp infection, chronic gastritis and intestinal metaplasia.
